Find out everything you need to know about a campus construction or renovation project. These guidelines provide the information you need prior to starting a project all the way through to project completion.

Getting started

Please enter a work request if you have a facilities-related request that requires action.

Requests can range from simple repairs or changing a light bulb, to renovating your office space or consulting with someone to optimize the use of your space on campus. Requests will be assigned and distributed to the appropriate team.

Please ensure you are connected to VPN when making your request.

Note: For all requests involving an application to an external funding agency (e.g. Canada Foundation of Innovation, Western Economic Diversification, Genome Canada), check the Office of Research Services Institutional Programs webpage for internal procedures and deadlines prior to initiating a request with Project Services.

The Process

Project Services takes projects from initiation through to completion.

As each project is unique, individual project timelines are most accurately determined during the planning stage. For a timeline estimate based on project value, refer to the Project Timeline Estimates.

Client deliverables

For a project to run smoothly there is certain information that clients need to provide during the project.

One of the project sponsor’s main documentation responsibilities is completion and submission of the Project Charter. The charter outlines the project scope, key contacts and other details.
